Crispus, Caesar, 316-326. Follis (Bronze, 19 mm, 2.46 g, 12 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Arelate, irregular mint, after 321. CRISPVS NOB CAES Laureate head of Crispus to right. Rev. D N CONSTANTINI MAX AV / P(crescent)A around wreath containing VOT / XX in two lines. Cf. RIC 233 and 235 (for prototype). Minor roughness and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.

This 'barbarous' imitation is a mule, with an obverse for Constantine I copying RIC 233 (Arelate), and a reverse for Crispus copying RIC 235 (Arelate).
